Grantham Foundation donates $250,000 to GCI

The Global CO2 Initiative is deeply honored to announce that the Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment has generously agreed to continue their support of our work with a gift of $250,000 in 2023.

It is because of magnanimous donors such as the Grantham Foundation that we are able to provide free CCUS resources, such as ground breaking research, practical tools and training for students and practitioners, as well as facilitate new international partnerships across industry, policy and academic realms in order to advance the effective and equitable implementation of CCUS as a mainstream solution to climate change.

Established in 1997 by Jeremy and Hannelore Grantham, the Grantham Foundation focuses on grantmaking pertaining to research and advocacy: basic research to map out the issues and find solutions and public advocacy to drive the structural changes needed to put those solutions into practice.

“Climate change is the greatest challenge humanity has ever faced. It is the race of our lives.”
