Mr. David has been hugely influential in the area of sustainability and clean energy technology for over 15 years. He is currently a Commissioner of the Energy Transitions Commission, a diverse group of global leaders from corporate, government, academic and non-profit backgrounds that focus on the evolution of energy systems. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Solidia Technologies, Inc. and CMC Energy Services, Inc.
Mr. David uses his extensive background in business and entrepreneurship to accelerate the commercialization of technologies. He has founded and sold several companies, including SaveSmart, Inc., which was sold to Infospace, and officesupplies.com, which was sold to Office Depot. Mr. David was also the founder and chairman of the Board of Trustees of ErthNxt, Inc., which merged with the National Wildlife Federation.
As a former senior adviser for the Environmental Protection Agency, Mr. David helped to create the Partnership on Technology Innovation and the Environment with the goal of accelerating the development, adoption, deployment, scale-up, and export of technologies for energy, water, and materials that protect health and the environment. He also served as a trustee of The H. John Heinz III Center for Science, Economics and the Environment and a venture partner and advisor to EnerTech Capital.
Mr. David has published eight books on entrepreneurship and allied computer technology use, including “The Entrepreneurial PC” and “Milestone Planning for Successful Ventures.”
