Recently GCI welcomed a new research assistant, third year chemical engineering student Michael Ficaj, from Holton Lake, Michigan.
“I’m working on the Carbon Removal Index TM, which is a tool and a database of tracks waste carbon that’s been removed from the atmosphere since the early 1970’s. I’m working on optimizing the data–getting it into a more digestible format for policy makers and others who want a better sense of how much progress we’ve made and how much more there is to go.
I strongly, strongly believe that the Carbon Removal Index TM is going to be a very important tool for providing information to the people who need it.”
